3km saturday!!! total 77kms
The breeze today was nice, however in hindsight i headed in the wrong direction...away from the windy areas. Whilst there has been worse humidity in the air, i feel my timings today, being earlier than normal didn't help the situation. (sometimes i don't have a choice of times to walk as have to base it on my kids movements also)
I'm not reading scales this week as i would rather be comfortable in my routine (well doing 3k a day) instead of concerned about the dreaded scales. They seem to occupy more time for many starting out i feel than necessary, with my aim to feel good first and see the benefits thereafter.
I'm enjoying the challenge and have had some great conversations with some good friends, so that measurement is ticking the right boxes at this stage. Feeling healthier, acting healthier, spending time enjoying myself... they all add up to a benefit worthy of this challenge. :)
Tonight I went out with a good friend to socialise and eat, and was disappointed in the food quality and variety.
Coming from someone who'd normally eat the backside out of a horse, and chase the rider, this is something i have noticed for the better. :) They can't blame the floods anymore, as food quality should be good no matter what the impact. Asking for something with a salad, and receiving no real options with the salad other than beetroot, potatoes, coleslaw or something resembling a tomato pasta shell mix... i'm disappointed :(
